Holidays
On public holidays, virtually all banks, post offices and businesses in Victoria are closed. Many bars, restaurants and cafes also observe holidays, especially on Christmas Day and New Years Day, and there is limited public transport. Holidays falling on a Saturday or Sunday are generally celebrated the following Monday.

Easter (Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Monday, 10-13 April)
Anzac Day (25 April)
Queens Birthday (8 June)
Melbourne Cup Day (3 November)
Christmas Day (25 December)
Boxing Day (Saturday 26 December and Monday 28 December *additional day)
